The fine art of campus cruising

Postby tbone16 on Thu Aug 28, 2008 12:40 am

Neccessary items:

-School books, preferably only the most important ones too keep your back pack slim so you can cut tighter crowd holes

-Jams, if your doin it right, your obnoxious and runing toes over. Ear buds plumbing punk, hip hop or metal into your ears will drown out
the screams and complaints of people you bump or smack.

-Board with a small wheel base. Cut em quick and make it look surfy. soft wheels and fast bearings.

-Blood. Your gonna eat *shrimp*, its inevitable. You might as well bleed on your nieghbor in your 8 AM phys class.

ToBeContinued.

Taylor's spot on. If youre shipping out to college, the only advice i can give is stay true to yourself unless it breaks 1 of the following 2 rules:

1.) These are not skate shoes:

B.) If you break your arm skating on campus, stop skating for just a little bit. The bad vibes will hover over your soul the next day causing you to break your other arm. How do you wipe your ass with 2 broken arms? Jordan?

ive got my broken sector nine that i cut down into a 28 inch mini, stock trackers? i think? kroptonic wheels and bearings. it was my first day to really bring it on campus and it was a blast, it was nice to just have 2 pushes and then roll almost all the way around campus when i had to go down hill

Some of yah might know that I was once a wannabe biker. Not to crazy or nothing, but every once in a bit, you gotta twist that right wrist and put some fuckers in your rear view when you roll on two wheels. I could carve the five lanes of fifty nine like a turkey. Campus cruising to me is so similar. I love snaking the piss out of folks and weaving through crowds like it is politically correct. I think one of the parts I like the most about it is how much it must piss people off. In a straight line, a bike is going to go faster and further. But when there is a crowd, there is nothing short of a magic carpet that is going to beat me to the other side of it. The bennett on the front of my weezy is like the best thing that has ever happened to me. Hills with crowds of people just turned into fifty nine, and I am going to act accordingly, with some sort of bat out of hell, courier/messenger mentality.

Just setup a sick get around for my sister. Gravity Mini Classic 27, Vlam. Had a dart 129 and a Bennet left over from the two sets that got used on my ben wei, so they got thrown on there wedged, dewedged. White Khiro Barrels in the Front bennet, with a bushing stack to get the geometry right, and a Blue Khiro con and hourglass in the Dart. 66mm 78a No Skools.

I feel as though this is the perfect campus cruiser, nice deck with a spacious tail, turns like retarded and fits under your arm just perfect.
